John Nemanic is a serial entrepreneur and investor, leveraging his extensive experience in starting, growing, managing and exiting firms. As co-founder, Chairman and CEO, he exited three very successful Internet start ups, Internet Direct, Tucows and Hostopia. In 2006, Hostopia raised 29.2 million (TSX:H), sold to Deluxe Communications for $124 million USD. John’s current interest are medical cannabis, hemp and CBD start ups, with a focus on Colombia.
John lives in Panama and Colombia, manages Panamanian/Colombian based business, and invests in Real Estate. As former member of EO Panama, John has a list of extensive contacts within Panama.
He is also a former member of EO Toronto (joined 1995) and YPO Toronto (joined 1999).

Dr. Yepes is currently a licensed Orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery subspecialist, practicing in Nova Scotia, Canada, with the Nova Scotia Health Authority and an Assistant Professor Faculty of medicine, Division Orthopaedic Surgery, at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has served as a general medical practitioner with the air patrol of Colombia and CES Clinic as well as a Clinical instructor at CES University, School of Medicine, after graduating as a Physician and Surgeon, CES University.He graduated from orthopaedics with universidad pontifical bolivariana . Colombia. Worked with indeportes antioquia and clinica de fracturas medellin as staff orthopaedic surgeon.
Did traveling fellowship with the German sport university Cologne Germany.
Diplomat in Orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery with dalhousie university and the sports and medicine clinic of Nova Scotia Canada.
Dr Yepes is a member of the Canadian Consortium for Research in Cannabinoids, American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine , Canadian Orthopaedic Association , Arthroscopy Association of Canada, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Atlantic Provinces Orthopedic Society and Atlantic Provinces Shoulder Society , and completed a certificate program in Cannabis Medicine from Oaksterdam University. He has given numerous presentations and workshops in international meetings both in North and South America and published several original research papers and book chapters in such peer reviewed publications as Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Journal of Arthroscopy.
Elizabeth is a chemical engineer with a master's degree in forest products science and is currently finishing her doctoral studies in engineering with an emphasis on materials. She belongs to the Research Group in Pulp and Paper since 2007, in which she has been involved in several projects.
She has several awards such as: Scholarship - Internship: young researchers and innovators "VIRGINIA GUTIÉRREZ DE PINEDA"; Master's Scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) in: "Master of Science in Forest Products", University of Guadalajara. Guadalajara Mexico; Internship of the Scholarship Program of the Student and Academic Mobility Platform of the Pacific Alliance 6th edition Mexico; Scholarship - Internship of the Enlazamundos Scholarship Program, Medellín Colombia carried out in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain; National doctoral scholarships of Colciencias 2012.
She has participated in several national and international congresses presenting various research results and she has published several original research articles and a book chapter in peer-reviewed publications. She has experience as a teacher and researcher, she is currently developing a project based on the encapsulation and controlled or specific release of drugs in the body based on biopolymer gels.
Andres Felipe Betancur is a chemical engineer and is currently finishing his doctorate in engineering with emphasis in optics and spectroscopy.
He is a professional with experience in research, mainly in areas of nanotechnology, characterization techniques and process synthesis; besides the formulation and execution of research projects. He has experience in the industry on issues related to INVIMA certification for medical products and company creation.
He has academic recognition such as the Student Exchange Scholarship granted by the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana; the internship within the framework of the program: "Platform for academic mobility of the alliance of the Pacific", the doctoral study scholarship granted by Colciencias and the Young Investigators Research Grant granted by Colciencias.He has participated in several national and international congresses and he has published several original research articles. He is currently developing a project based on graphene obtention and other with pulmonary stent.
Jhonnatan García Areiza is a lawyer from the University of Antioquia, with studies in corporate real estate and urban topics from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.He received a scholarship to study at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, he has also made research publications in national journals indexed.
During his professional practice, he has advised prestigious national and international companies on corporate matters, and has conducted legal advisory and litigation processes accompanied by successful investigation procedures, executing methodological programs and private investigation orders for companies and individuals. He currently has made several assistances and accompaniments regarding the process of legalization to work with cannabis.

Dr. Monica M. Carrillo is currently a licensed ophthalmologist and Glaucoma subspecialist practicing in Nova Scotia , Canada with the Nova Scotia health Authority. After graduating as a Physician and Surgeon from CES University in Medellin, Dr. Carrillo completed her ophthalmology residency at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin and then her glaucoma subspecialty fellowship training at University of Toronto , Toronto, Ontario and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr Carrillo is a member of the Canadian Consortium for the investigation of cannabinoids, Canadian Ophthalmological Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology. She completed a certificate program in Cannabis medicine with Oaksterdam University in California.
Dr. Carrillo has several original research paper publications at peer reviewed journals such as American Journal of Ophthalmology, Archives of ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Journal, British Journal of Ophthalmology, and Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, and book chapter publications as well. She has served as reviewer for the American Journal of Ophthalmology and Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology and has presented at international meetings in both North and South America.
